Recipe Exchange Event

by Saloni Shah ‘24

On Monday, March 7, 2021, the Honors College held a “Recipe Exchange” event. I came up with the idea and led the event through the help of Mohini and the entire Honors Advisory Board. The Honors Advisory Board gave me the perfect outlet to execute my idea. At the event, students shared their favorite recipes with one another and bonded through their mutual interests of cooking and baking. Each person traded one of their favorite recipes with another person in the group. Some of the recipes that we shared were baked potato wedges, lemon bars, brownies, and the famous TikTok trend “nature’s cereal”. We have a follow-up event planned where we will try making each other’s recipes and give our reviews on how everything went. Our next meeting is planned for Monday, April 5th, during the common hour at 12:10 PM.

Here in Honors, we all love food! Even if you were not able to make it to our first event, everyone is welcome to join our second. Registration is required for the event, but it takes less than a minute, so please don’t be discouraged by that. We’re all really excited for our next event, so hopefully we’ll see you there! It could be a great way to meet new people and learn a new recipe!
