Welcome To All Who Are PaceBound!

“Watching PaceBound change and evolve over the past 4 years, as I grew from incoming student to Honors staff member, has been somewhat surreal. When I participate in PaceBound now, I look at the excited faces of the prospective students and remember being in their shoes myself, and how grateful I felt to be starting a new chapter in the exciting and fun Honors community.”

One of the most anticipated times of the year at Pace University has arrived yet again. The New York City Campus is hosting a series of their annual PaceBound events, across the Spring semester. This welcoming occasion is a conglomeration of many events that teach students all about the opportunities that come with attending the university. Students will have the chance to learn about everything Pace, including social life on campus, various clubs, dorming life (with tours of all the dormitory buildings), in-depth information about the student’s respective majors, and research/work opportunities.

Undergraduates are able to be involved in the interactive nature of PaceBound, providing students with everything that they have learned from their time in college. By giving guidance to prospective students, incoming students have the chance to gain firsthand experience about life on the campuss. By learning insightful details pertaining to various majors, grades, and even scholarship demographics, students can find a sense of community on campus, before they even step into their journey to achieve their college aspirations.

However, this year’s PaceBound is particularly special as there are a multitude of exciting additions to what Pace University offers. For instance, incoming students learned all about the new Sands’ College that has been added to the educational roster. Due to the generous donations from Pamela and Rob Sands, Pace University was able to open the Sands College of Performing Arts. The grand opening of this school creates a state-of-the-art environment for those interested in careers revolved around theatrical performance, as well as the work that goes on behind the curtains.

Additionally, the recently constructed 15 Beekman residential and academic building opened, housing numerous important facilities to the New York City campus. Firstly, the building contains ten floors of suite-style dorm rooms, where most of the freshmen currently live in this year, and where the upcoming freshmen will live. Besides this, the building houses two floors of cafeterias for the students, the Bianco Room, classrooms for the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, offices for the faculty and staff, two floors of library spaces and more which are accessible to all students across campus.

With all these large-scale transformations introduced to Pace University this year, PaceBound has become more special and interactive than ever, while also giving prospective students something to look forward to during their adventurous Pace Path.
