My February Romance TBR

February: The month of love. Valentine’s Day can be an enjoyable time when you’re a reader. There is a plethora of romance books, making it hard to even get through them all! Here’s my list of romance books that I’m hoping to get to, especially in the month of February.

From the author of Red, White, and Royal Blue, one of my favorite romance books, comes an exciting, sapphic, fantastical romance. Set in the New York City subway, this novel is about a girl who falls for her subway crush; the only problem is her subway crush is stuck in time. Casey McQuiston’s writing style is so sweet and fast-paced, so I am excited to finally read this book!

If you love a repeating timeline book (like the movie Groundhog Day) then this one will do the trick! Barrett Bloom has finally made it to college after a disastrous high school experience, only college seems to be just as awful. After she particularly screws up the night of September 21, she’s ready to give up… until she wakes up the morning of September 21 again. When she meets Miles, she realizes he’s stuck in this loop as well. As they discover new things about their university, they start to fall in love, but what happens when they get to tomorrow?

After being sucked into the BookTok craze for The Love Hypothesis, I realized I love STEM romance books and Ali Hazelwood’s easy writing. Love on the Brain follows Bee, an engineer, who’s offered a project at NASA but it means working with her archenemy, Levi. What will happen when they work together in close quarters? I love a good enemies-to-lovers novel, and Ali Hazelwood knows how to write a sweet romance. This is absolutely at the top of my TBR.

This book follows so much celebrity culture, which, after reading Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid, I’ve been craving that. Chani Horowitz, a young journalist, is finally assigned a big project: write a profile on movie star, Gabe Parker. Only, after their interview, they spend the entire day together. Ten years later, after never speaking again, Chani is asked to conduct a follow-up interview. Will they rekindle their spark?

Funny You Should Ask by Elissa Sussman

Ok, I lied. I have read this entire series before. But, I am re-reading it this month because it is so sweet and fast-paced. This series by Alice Oseman is a graphic novel series that started online. It is in the universe of a few of her other novels, and involves two boys, Nick and Charlie, as they navigate the complicated world of figuring out their sexualities and mental health as they fall in love. It has a beautiful cast of side characters with difficult journeys of their own. Bonus: it’s also on Netflix!

I am so excited to get to reading more romance! I hope this list gave you some inspiration for some novels to read when you want some romance. Happy love month and happy reading!
