Introducing The Most Terrifying Event Yet: Fright Fair

Following Pace University’s largest event of the year, the Harry Potter movie night, the Honors College continued along with the theme of late October as they planned their latest spooky celebration. This past week, the Honors Lounge, located on the 2nd floor of One Pace Plaza, was transformed into a mysterious experience welcome for all Honors students to attend. The space had turned into a frightening epicenter, filled with Halloween themed carnival games. 

Stunning combinations of orange and black filled the space, immersing all into the sense of walking through the carnivals that fill everybody’s childhood memories. Streamers fell from the ceiling and entrances to every game station. Balloons sprung from the tables that were covered with orange tablecloths all around.  

Fright Fair included classic games including Ring Toss, Cup Pong, and Toss-a-Ball. Those who played the games had the chance to win prizes and delicious treats. All these games came together to create an interactive experience in the Honors Lounge, while simultaneously simulating an eerie environment to get all the Honors students into the Halloween spirit.  

Tons of students attended the event excited for the upcoming weekend, including Bianca Mazur who commented, “… [Fright Fair] really helped [them] and [their] friends get into the Halloween spirit.” The exhilarating nature of Fright Fair immediately began upon attendance everybody had the opportunity to enter a raffle for a chance to win some exclusive Honors College merchandise for themselves. 

Overall, the Honors student community was absolutely thrilled with the event; it clearly sparked everybody’s excitement for the upcoming Halloween weekend. From popcorn and chocolate candy to the many electrifying decor and minigames, the Fright Fair was most certainly something spectacular to attend.
