It Starts With Us Release Event

If you exist on social media or anywhere where readers are, chances are you know the name Colleen Hoover. October 18th, 2022 was a day that every Colleen Hoover fan was excited for. It was the day the countdown for her newest release ended at last. It Starts With Us was finally out in the universe.

Colleen Hoover rose to popularity with her #1 New York Times Bestseller It Ends With Us. It follows Lily in the midst of a love triangle between the characters Atlas and Ryle, but the romance isn’t what makes her novels so special. The novel dealt with messy topics and flawed characters and relationships. Because it was so captivating, it blew up on TikTok, as did Colleen Hoover. Her books are so beloved because they tackle gripping topics and have a romantic aspect as the side plot; they follow characters that feel like real people that mean a lot to the readers.

Given the popularity of this book, it is no surprise that readers were highly anticipating her newest release, the prequel to her #1 book, It Starts With Us. This book follows Atlas and Lily but finally reveals Atlas’ perspective and takes on a happier tone than its predecessor. You see the characters at a different point in their lives and are finally treated to a cheerful Colleen Hoover book.

Since we are lucky enough to live in New York City, I attended a release event! Atria Books and Colleen Hoover partnered up on October 18th to bring readers an incredibly memorable experience. This release event took place near Rockefeller Center and involved everything that readers love about It Ends With Us. We all stood in line for free hot chocolate and cookies from Atlas’ shop, Bib’s Restaurant, and the truck was decorated with flowers from Lily Bloom’s, Lily’s flower shop. We also were able to purchase the newly released book along with a signed bookmark from a pop-up of the Strand Bookstore!

This book release event was such a magical experience and really transported me into the hit Colleen Hoover series. I was so glad I could attend and be alongside so many NYC readers like myself. If you know of any upcoming book events, please feel free to share them, because after this one, I want to go to them all!
